Air Bagan now offers direct flights between Phuket and Yangon, the largest city in Myanmar. Service starts on April 11, 2011, and there will be two flights per week. The introductory fare for a round-trip flight is USD315 inclusive of taxes, insurance and fuel surcharges. This promotional price is valid from now until September 30, 2011.
Flight W99606 will depart Phuket Airport at 7:50pm every Monday and Friday. The flight arrives in Yangon at 9:15pm local time. Flight W99605 from Yangon to Phuket departs every Monday and Friday at 3:45pm and arrives at 6:10pm local time. Note that there is a 30 minute time difference between Thailand and Myanmar.
This promotional fare is available only for online bookings. Children aged 2 – 12 will be charged 75% of the adult fare plus surcharges/taxes. Children under the age of 2 will be charged 20% of the adult fare. Once booked, tickets are refundable with a penalty fee of USD30. Changes are permitted up to one day before the flight. Departure tax is payable in cash at the Yangon airport.
